Thank You KIDS CAN, HELLERS NZ's BUTCHER and MID-NORTH BUDGETING SERVICES

When someone helps you out in little ways, it makes you feel safe, happy and supported.

Everyday I see my students eating their breakfast, or wearing a jacket or blowing their noses with tissues supplied by Kids Can. When I see this I know that my students are coming into my class ready to learn. Kids Can also suplies us with hand santizer, nit shampoo, bandages, peaches and yoghurt. All greatly received by our staff, families and students.

Kids Can is an organisation that can not survive without the generous support and donations from New Zealand businesses and individuals. Tautoro School will be holding a themed mufti day, where we will raise money to give back to Kids Can, as we appreciate their help.

Recently Tautoro School recieved 500 precooked sausages from Hellers NZ Butchers. Another parent came to school with loaves of bread from Mid-North Budgeting Services, as the loaves of bread were surplus to requirement. Both said, do as you want with them. Use them for fundraising or feed your students. So we used a portion of this donation to celebrate our Whanau Cross Country Day with a Sausage Sizzle. It was great to see our Students, Parents, Uncles, Aunts, Grandparents and teachers coming together, sharing memories and laughter over a cooked Hellers sausage wrapped in soft white bread. Yum!

Without Kids Can, Mid-North Budgeting Services and Hellers, Tautoro School would be a different place, a place of hunger, worries and health issues. So I thank you all for thinking about our Tautoro School children and making their school a better place.

My students also appreciate your kindness and they too have posted their thanks onto their BLOG, so that the world can see that Kids Can, Mid-North Budgeting and Hellers NZ Butcher are our New Zealand's Good Sorts.
