Last Friday 17th May, our class Room 6 - Year 0-1 presented to the school our Koinobori (Japanese Carp fish) art as part of World Celebrations and last week we did choose Japan.
We coloured a template of a Koinobori; first with white around the scales and then the rest of the fish. The next step we dyed our coloured Koi and when it dried, we attached them to poles in the order of:
- Family Banner
- Father
- Mother
- Boy
- Girl
- From blank template
- Highlighted white tipped scales
- Colourful scales
- Wet coloured dyed Koi (Japanese Carp fishes)
- Dry coloured dyed Koi (Japanese Carp fishes)
- Our story-writing of the coloured dyed Koi (Japanese Carp fishes)
Here are 4 photos and 2 videos.
Well done Ruma Ono, I enjoyed you presentation. Your Koinobori were very bright and colourful. I loved how you explained the differences between each Koinobori family member, and showed us how to obey different commands in Japanese. Kā pai to Mahi Ruma Ono or should I say 'Yoku yatta Rūmu 6' (よくやった ルーム6)
